Deputy CEO

We are supporting a confidential search for a Deputy CEO to act as the founder’s second-in-command within a founder-led technology platform business. This hire is intended to run the business day-to-day so the founder can focus on platform vision, fundraising, and parallel strategic priorities. The role is expected to sit across core operational, delivery, product, engineering, and commercial activities, acting as a senior leadership bridge across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership
– Act as the founder’s number two and support overall business execution
– Run the business on a day-to-day basis across core operating priorities
– Provide senior leadership continuity when the founder is focused on other strategic areas

Cross-Functional Management
– Bridge product, engineering, commercial, and delivery functions
– Help align teams around execution, priorities, and business outcomes
– Support the wider business in a fast-moving, founder-led environment

Operational Execution
– Drive day-to-day business performance and operating rhythm
– Help manage scale-up execution across multiple functions
– Bring structure, pace, and accountability across the organization

External & Internal Stakeholder Leadership
– Operate credibly in client-facing and investor-facing environments
– Help lead the room when the founder is not present
– Act as a mature senior representative of the business internally and externally

Candidate Profile
– Senior operator profile, likely from a COO, President, GM, or similar leadership track
– Experience within a platform, SaaS, cloud, IoT, edge-AI, or developer-tooling business
– Strong ability to bridge product, engineering, commercial, and investor-facing responsibilities
– Experience scaling a founder-led company or operating as a founder’s second-in-command
– Comfortable with ambiguity, pace, and broad leadership scope
– Strong client-facing and investor-facing maturity
– Near-native English is essential
– GCC experience would be advantageous
