UAE Announces First Day of Eid Al Adha 2024

The UAE has officially announced the dates for Eid Al Adha 2024, providing paid holidays for both the public and private sectors. This decision was made following a Cabinet resolution, and the dates were revealed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and the UAE Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR).

Official Eid Al Adha 2024 Dates

Eid Al Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the holiest periods in the Islamic calendar, marked by special prayers, feasts, and acts of charity. The official dates for Eid Al Adha 2024 in the UAE are:

  • Arafat Day: Dhu Al Hijjah 9, corresponding to June 15, 2024
  • Eid Al Adha: Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12, corresponding to June 16, 17, 18, 2024

These dates were announced on June 8, 2024, ensuring that all private sector employees will enjoy an official paid holiday from June 15 to June 18, in celebration of the Day of Arafah and Eid Al Adha.
