Saudi Arabia has introduced significant visa changes for travelers arriving from 12 countries, including Turkey, Pakistan, and Lebanon. The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) will replace visa stickers with a printed e-visa containing a QR code, eliminating the need for physical visa stamps in passports.
The e-visa will encompass all necessary passenger data and visa information, serving as a digital alternative for labor, visit, and residency visas. This initiative is part of the country’s efforts to digitize consular services and streamline visa processing for incoming travelers.
The phased implementation of the new visa procedure for the listed countries is as follows:
- Pakistan – July 24
- Yemen – July 26
- Sudan – August 2
- Uganda – August 7
- Lebanon – August 9
- Nepal – August 14
- Turkey – August 16
- Sri Lanka – August 21
- Kenya – August 23
- Morocco – August 28
- Thailand – August 30
- Vietnam – September 4
As Saudi Arabia embraces digitalization, this move enhances the convenience and efficiency of visa processes, making travel to the Kingdom more accessible for visitors from these countries.
