The Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) has recently introduced a new regulation mandating biometric fingerprinting for other Gulf nationals upon arrival in the country. This requirement applies to those who had not undergone fingerprinting before traveling to Kuwait, as reported by Al-Anba Daily. The implementation of this measure depends on the number of flights arriving at the airport. If there is a significant number of arrivals, passengers may be allowed to proceed without fingerprinting. Certain airlines already require both expats and Gulf nationals to undergo fingerprinting as part of their entry procedure. All entry points in the country are equipped with fingerprint devices to ensure a swift process for each individual.
Kuwaitis Exempt from Fingerprinting Requirement
Kuwaitis returning from abroad are currently exempt from mandatory fingerprinting. However, travelers are encouraged to book an appointment at biometric centers in different governorates and malls. It is important to note that those traveling outside the country are not required to undergo fingerprinting initially, but it becomes mandatory upon their return to Kuwait.
