Sales Engineer - Chinese National

At Guildhall, we've partnered with a leading distributor of construction machinery and heavy equipment in the region. Currently, we are searching for a Sales Engineer to drive the sales of construction machinery, heavy equipment, and associated items. The primary focus for this role is to achieve set targets, both in terms of quantity and value, while upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction in all interactions..

Key Responsibilities

Financial Focus:
  • Achieve individual financial targets, encompassing unit sales, revenue, and gross profits.
Customer Engagement:
  • Execute the agreed-upon business plan to ensure the company reaches its sales and market share objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Chinese customers' needs and purchasing behaviors, providing tailored solutions.
  • Address and resolve Chinese customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with all Chinese customers.
Internal Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager to formulate individualized sales plans.
  • Support the execution and achievement of department objectives and action plans.
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of quoting, invoicing, and product delivery.
  • Develop and execute an individual call plan in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Assist in planning and managing participation in trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Act as the account owner for all Chinese customers, managing new accounts and covering the assigned customer list in CRM.
  • Generate and follow up on leads in CRM, assigning them to the relevant sales personnel.
  • Conduct regular visits to Chinese customers based on PAR targets, reporting activities in CRM.
  • Collaborate with the Branch to create proposals and discuss them with Chinese customers
Competitor Awareness:
  • Stay informed about competitors' activities, offering timely feedback to support the development of effective marketing strategies
Effective Communication & Teamwork:
  • Foster strong communication and synergy with peers, particularly Product Support and Service teams.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings to discuss plans, progress, and market opportunities 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Preferably possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales
  • Ideally experienced in construction machinery or heavy equipment products
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the GCC region
  • Travel within the GCC region will be required
  • Chinese national
