Resident Engineer

Guildhall is supporting a rapidly growing Engineering Project Management company who has been recently awarded a large residential development project in Syria. This role will be for a 6 to 12 month period.
This is part of the major investment being made in to the development of the capital and what is looking to be major economic growth for the country.
- Lead construction management pursuits and fill a key role in delivering projects
- Understanding of the construction market and opportunities Identification of key staff for hire
- Directs and reviews the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities
- Develop and establish efficient office and field procedures
- Review/analyze engineering related materials, reports, documents, plans and specifications.
- Develops and presents contract administrative tasks including reports, pay quantity calculations, estimates, labor compliance reviews, change orders, claims review and resolution, schedules, etc.
- Make significant and final determinations regarding contract administration.
- Coordinate all construction activities including Assistant Resident Engineers, Construction Inspectors, Office/Field Engineers, Material Testers, Subconsultant Staff and Administrative/Project Personnel.
In order to be successful at this role, candidates need to be able to demonstrate the following skills, qualification and experience
- Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering
- 5 to 8 years post graduate experience
- Experienced in residential construction projects
