Bahrain Announces National Jobs Plan

Bahrain has unveiled a comprehensive national jobs plan that aims to create employment opportunities for its citizens and foster relationships between the public and private sectors.

The Bahrain National Labour Market Plan, which will be implemented until 2026, focuses on providing training, employment opportunities, and investment attraction. The plan aims to enhance the economic position of Bahrain and create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. It also seeks to promote remote and part-time working arrangements and increase women’s participation in the workforce.

Jamil bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), emphasizes the commitment of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the growth of the labour market and the generation of more jobs. The plan aligns with the government’s vision for sustainable growth and collaboration between public and private sectors.

The Bahrain National Labour Market Plan aims to align educational outputs with the needs of the labour market, promote partnerships with the private sector, attract local and foreign investments, and strengthen regulations and laws that support investment and workers’ rights.
